Cookies, caches and your choices.
Cookies and offline caches are different technologies. Here is what this version of Analaug uses and what you can manage on your device.
Cookies
The current application does not set its own analytics, advertising or preference cookies. Cookies may be used by the hosting platform for access protection on review previews. They are separate from the public application; names and lifetimes must be checked on the final hostname before launch. We do not list a cookie that has not been observed as though it were active.
Browser-local storage inventory
| Technology and name | Purpose / provider | Persistence |
|---|---|---|
| Session storage: analaug:character-hints:last | Analaug stores a timestamp to limit robot suggestions to a two-minute cooldown. No question text or identifier is stored. | This tab’s session; browser session restoration can extend it. The cooldown is two minutes, not an automatic deletion timer. |
| Cache Storage: analaug-static-* and analaug-pages-* | Analaug’s service worker saves selected public pages, icons and static assets for offline recovery. | No fixed time limit. Replaced when a newer worker activates, cleared with the control below, or evicted by the browser. |
| Page memory | Tool inputs, visible chat transcript and temporary interface states. | Normally until the page is reloaded or closed. This is not durable storage; browser history restoration may preserve a page. |
| Local storage / IndexedDB | No application-owned entries are currently used. | Not applicable to the current release. |
Offline caching and updates
Approved public pages use the network first and a saved page when the network is unavailable. Versioned static assets can use the offline cache first. APIs, non-GET requests, cross-origin requests, authorization headers and React navigation payloads are excluded; query-bearing pages and private or no-store responses are not saved. Browser APIs do not expose every cookie header, so these cache rules are not a promise that an authenticated site could be cached safely without further review.
Each offline-content revision changes the service-worker cache version. Older Analaug caches are removed when the replacement worker activates, normally after tabs controlled by the old worker close. Reload after reopening the site to receive the current page. Clearing caches does not unregister the worker; a basic offline message remains available even without saved pages.
HTTP and CDN caches
Your browser also caches HTTP responses according to response headers. Vercel can cache public content on its delivery network. These caches are separate from Cache Storage. The controls below cannot erase a server/CDN cache or a hosting log, and they do not clear the browser’s HTTP cache.
Optional technologies
Advertising, behavioral analytics, session replay, external social feeds and optional embeds are inactive. Social icons and ordinary links do not load a social platform’s SDK. There is no Accept All banner because there are no active optional tracking categories to accept. Any future optional category must be reviewed and gated before it loads, with meaningful rejection and withdrawal where consent is required.
Privacy & Storage Settings
Offline page caches and a tab-only robot suggestion cooldown are active. Analytics, advertising and embedded social feeds are not active, so there are no optional tracking permissions to accept or reject.
Clearing removes Analaug’s saved pages and assets on this browser origin. The service worker stays registered and can show a basic offline message. It does not delete unrelated caches, cookies, hosting records or CDN caches. Your browser’s site-data settings manage cookies, HTTP caches and service-worker registration separately.
Browser controls and privacy requests
Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or remove cookies and other stored data, or unregister the service worker. Blocking storage may reduce offline availability. For how server requests and email are handled, read the Privacy Policy; for a question, contact Analaug.
